In this edition of Pornhub Insights, we’re taking a look at the top searches and categories preferred by Pornhub’s Irish visitors. Ireland ranks 42nd for traffic to Pornhub, which is much higher than its worldwide population rank of 124th. The average visitor from Ireland spends 9 minutes and 33 seconds on Pornhub, which is about 20 seconds less than the worldwide average.

Mike Itkis, a Congressional Candidate for New York’s 12th District, released his own sex tape in order to show his support for legalizing sex work. The video co-stars professional adult film star Nicole Sage, and went viral in mid-October.
Pornhub’s statisticians found that searches containing “Mike Itkis” and “Nicole Sage” had a combined total of over 700,000 searches from October 13th to October 17th.
Pornhub is the most democratic and inclusive platform in the world, and we welcome anyone who wants to express their creativity and sexuality in a safe and consensual manner. As sex workers and the adult industry continue to face institutional discrimination, it is important that we and our elected officials fight back and celebrate the agenda of sexual freedom.
Italian Election 2022
On Sunday September 25th, Italians voted for their new Government. Only 63.9% of Italians decided to vote. So Pornhub, along with our friends at a FQMagazine, checked to see what effect the Italian Election Day had on everyone’s favorite website.

In our Year in Review, we took a look at United States’ Most Popular Searches, when compared to the rest of the country. Seeing as the United Kingdom is Pornhub’s second biggest source of traffic, our intrepid statisticians took a closer look to see how porn tastes differ across various parts of the U.K.
Relative Searches
Relative searches indicate what locals are more likely to type into the search box compared to their neighbors. These terms are all within the Top 100 searches in the U.K., and make up a larger proportion of the total searches in each region when compared to the average popularity across the rest of the U.K.
Our statisticians report that visitors from Scotland are 55% more likely to search “pegging” (a female performing anal sex using a strap-on dildo). Visitors from the North East are 171% more likely to search “chav”, the North West are 73% more into “chubby” porn, and East Midlands have a 77% bigger taste for “bbw”.
Visitors from Greater London are 223% more likely to search “turkish” compared to the rest of the U.K., while those from the West Midlands are 136% more into “indian”.

Apple’s annual event is streamed live to millions of people around the world who tune in to see the latest gadgets and iPhone models. This year, the event was held September 7th at 1pm Eastern Time. Pornhub’s statisticians worked with the team at Mashable to capture all the excitement through data.
To see how Pornhub’s traffic fluctuated during the event, our statisticians compared the number of pageviews per minute, to the number of pageviews on a typical Wednesday (averaged over the previous 4 weeks).
Our premise was that during the event, as each major product was revealed, there would be a drop in pageviews on Pornhub. And during the less interesting parts, we would see people start to browse Pornhub again.
To make things more interesting, our statisticians separated the pageview changes by Apple devices (iPhones, iPads, MacOS) and non-Apple devices (Android, Windows). The theory being that Apple device users would have more interest in the event than those using, for example, Android based smartphones.
